Suppose you select a wound specialist who dabbles in wound healing but does not understand each unique patient's pathophysiology or make a focused expert care plan. In that case, you are receiving an ineffective or miscalculated treatment. If your patient's wound doesn't shrink by 40% in 6 weeks from the initial encounter by a wound specialist, it's time to look for another consultant.
