It is designed to meet the needs of older adults in the middle to late stages of their dementia. Pepita cottage offers all of Irvine Cottages specialties: Music, Art, Aroma, Exercise programs and excellent nursing care. As with all of the cottages, Mission Viejo has new bidet toilets to help prevent urinary tract infections. It also has the "living air" system. All staff has received training from the Alzheimer's Association of Orange County and has weekly training by a nurse administrator. Member: Residential Care Resource Network Spartan Cottage is a beautifully situated "park-like" cottage. The aroma, flowers and lovely patio make it a "home away from home." Private rooms with private baths are provided for older adults who prefer more privacy. Cottage X has excellent meals and all of the meals have been approved by the dietician. They also received 100% on their recent state survey. All of our staff has been trained by the Alzheimer's Association of Orange County and has on-going training by a nurse administrator. It is professionally decorated and has all private suites with private bathrooms. The residents enjoy Nintendo Wii tournaments, air hockey, a putting green, singing and playing on the cottage iPad. They love art classes, art therapy, music therapy, aroma therapy and pets. They enjoy outings to the park, out for lunch and even the beach!
