We provide assistance with selecting, screening and recommending the best
assisted living or dementia community. We do not simply provide lists. Our
personalized service closely matches the particular needs and preferences of
the older person with communities that are just right for that person. We can
also negotiate costs directly with the community of your choice.
• DEMENTIA COUNSELING
Transitional, validation and behavioral counseling. Support when moving
from home to an assisted living or dementia community.
• EDUCATION
We provide solution-focused education and counseling on memory
impairment, providing the best approaches to caregiving which maximize
quality of life and independence for your loved one.
• IN-HOME ASSESSMENT & CARE PLANNING
Detailed clinical assessment with personalized plan of care.
• MEDICAL COORDINATION & ADVOCACY
Accompany client to doctor's appointments and provide doctors with
accurate information. Monitor care in hospital and advocate in ER.
Review medical records.
ABOUT THE FOUNDER
Dr. Jane L. Mahakian has a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology with a
specialization in geriatrics and is a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist
(lic#mft30045). She is the previous director of Elder Care Programs at the
University of California San Francisco.
