When hospice patients need care beyond what can be
provided at home, the VITAS Inpatient Hospice Unit
at Methodist Healthcare System offers around-the-
clock care with a goal of returning the patient home as
quickly as possible. Our interdisciplinary team
provides expert pain and symptom management, and
patients are monitored daily by a VITAS hospice
physician. The unit offers a home-like setting without
the traditional hospital restrictions. Family and visitors
are always welcome and may even spend the night.
